Job Description

We are seeking a candidate to manage the calibration, maintenance, and performance testing of RADIAC instrumentation at NNL. This role ensures the proper operation and functionality of RADIAC equipment used for radiation protection and monitoring throughout NNL facilities.

Key responsibilities include installing, testing, and validating RADIAC equipment at multiple laboratory sites to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards. The candidate will also coordinate the deployment of both portable and fixed radiation detection systems across the labs.

Required Combination of Knowledge and Skill

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a technical, engineering or science related field and a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience; or Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a technical, engineering or science related field and a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience with certification as a health physicist by the American Board of Health Physics; or Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a technical, engineering or science related field and a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a technical, engineering or science related field and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience with certification as a health physicist by the American Board of Health Physics.

• Radiological Instrumentation Knowledge
• Experience with Electrotonic Troubleshooting

Pay Range

$114,400.00 - $178,800.00 annually

The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is operated for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) by Fluor Marine Propulsion, LLC (FMP), a wholly owned subsidiary of Fluor Corporation.
